So so thankful in 2014:

A few things I'm thankful for this year:
(yes, it's halfway through December but there was no way this post was going to get written in the middle of finals week - which I survived, by the way.
So Happy very-late Thanksgiving! Hope yours was grand.)

>>> A husband who is unbelievably supportive of me and my dreams and also equally willing and excited to plan adventures around the world or just binge-watch Game of Thrones in our apartment.

>>> The fact that I'm somehow in medical school and learning to be a doctor! I have a moment at least weekly where I can't believe this is my life - SO GRATEFUL!

>>> My family (and especially my parents!) that not only do I love, but I love being around! I love our hilarious group chats and face-timing at midnight and how I know they've always got my back - they're my people, and I am thankful for it.

>>> Friends - new and old - that care about my life and make me realize how wonderful people can be (and are so much fun to buy Christmas presents for!)

>>> Our little apartment that is in the perfect location and is the perfect size for me and JP - not to mention the fabulous family that is renting it to us!

And now, a few pictures from our Thanksgiving, including but not limited to matching sweaters, deep fried turkey, and black and white checkered McKenzie Child dinnerware:

A Weekend in Park City:

This past weekend JP and I went up to Park City with our friends Eric and Kimmi for a weekend getaway!

We headed up on Friday and continued our halloween tradition of getting Chinese takeout for dinner.
We played games and went hot tubbing, watched movies and the boys played a lot of FIFA. On Saturday we lounged around and explored shops on mainstreet, followed by dinner at Zoom!
Then, probably the best moment of all was waking up to SNOW on Sunday! It was seriously magical.
And now we're trying to come up with a reason to go back this weekend haha

Yay! A Fall Wedding!

One of my very best friends Chelsea got married this weekend!
She and her now-husband Chase are adorable.
So happy, so in love, so thrilled to be getting married to each other.
The wedding dinner, ceremony, and reception were all a massive party that was so much fun -- I think mostly because they were so happy the whole time!
And now they're off on their honeymoon, and I have no idea where they're actually going because Chase wanted it to be a surprise but Chelsea kept accidentally figuring out where it was, so then he'd change it haha.
I guess I'll find out when they get home! :)
I threw a bachelorette party for her a couple weeks ago, but I completely spaced it and took a grand total of zero pictures :(

Snippets of our new place!

We love it up here!
Below are some shots of our home, and then some of our neighborhood!
We live in the most beautiful area filled with huge old trees that line the streets and we're surrounded by houses that are a hundred years old and full of character, I love them so much!

^^^ JP bought me these gorgeous sunflowers to celebrate our 3-year anniversary!
We've been married for three years, but it seriously feels like we should still be classified as 'newly weds.'
Every day with him is so fun, and I truly don't think I could be doing this whole med-school thing without his support! Oh I love you to moon and back JP!
Here's to three fabulous years, and a whole lot more to come.

Mid-Summer's Evening Wedding: Katy + Taylor

JP and I attended the most gorgeous wedding reception this past weekend.
Seriously, between the manicured hedges, globe string lights, the most talented DJ I've heard in a while, and the fabulous company, we stayed all night and even beyond the bride and groom's grand sparkler-lined exit (much to the dismay of those working at the venue and attempting to clean up... Sorry! Too much excitement and catching up with friends!)

Katy and her now-husband Taylor were radiating happiness, which I always think is just the most lovely thing -- there's nothing better than when you can really tell that the newly married couple are enjoying themselves at their own party!

It was a beautiful night, the food was delicious, and we might have managed to make ourselves at home on the dance floor... I still can't believe JP has transformed me into someone who likes to dance!
