Twihards

Okay, somehow we ended up at the midnight showing of "Breaking Dawn part 1" last night.
I mean, we hadn't missed any of the midnight showings for the first three movies, so we had to go...  right?

Husband really didn't want to go... but I bought him a ticket online and then he didn't have a choice hahaha...
He's a great sport to put up with me.

Anyways, the combination of lack of sleep, hoards of pre-teen fans, Jacob's one-liners, and low expectations made for a great night!
(And don't get your hopes up, Bella is expressionless is this movie too)

I live for the midnight-movie crowd.
But seriously how freakishly perfect is the Bella on the right?!

Always. I've never been to a movie with her where she hasn't brought carrots. Literally.

Related!

 Soo excited to see Edward!

Sundance Dinner

This past weekend there was a birthday that needed celebrating!

One of Jean Paul's best friends Eric (yep same one we scared) turned 26 and so we all went up to Sundance to celebrate!

It was one of my favorite nights in a while.
The food was amazing, the company enjoyable, and the conversation hilarious.

Sometimes

Sometimes you get called "Gracie Baby" by an old man at work, and you just go with it.

Sometimes it just so happens that while you're frantically looking for a
parking spot, a car magically backs out just in front of you.

Sometimes your best friend buys you lunch because you were an
airhead and left your wallet in the car.

Sometimes a study session turns into a eat-everything-in-site
and do-everything-except-study party.

Sometimes your husband is a freakin' champ and takes you out for a
good old fashioned McDonald's ice cream cone for dinner.

And sometimes he's okay that you didn't make dinner -- once again, a champ.

Sometimes you wonder how you managed to pull off having an ideal job,
an awesome TA position, a husband who watches Gossip Girl with you,
while attending a university with all your best friends,
and you realize you are pretty dang lucky.

And sometimes you and your husband are foot-twins, which makes going out in public that much more fun.

Most Epic Wish Party

11-11-11
11:11

It comes but once a century, so I decided to throw a party in celebration of the only time we will get to make the most epic wish of our lives.

And I left the date on the bottom of the pictures on purpose... because how awesome is it that is was 11-11-11?!

Everyone wrote down their most epic wish and at 11:11 the plan was to throw them into the fire!

This was not a decision you wanted to take lightly. What if you wasted the most epic wish of your life?!

 Almost time!

Everyone getting ready to throw their wish into the fire...

 Happy 11-11-11 11:11!!

The night in which we scared our friends half to death

Last weekend, Jean Paul and I, along with our two friends Eric and Kimmi, somehow ended up watching "The Strangers" on TV. You may recall me mentioning how much I HATE scary movies, so needless to say I was not too pleased with this decision but didn't want to be the only one who ruined the "fun". So I watched it.

 Worst. Idea. Ever.

Here's the premise of the movie:
This couple is staying at a lake house and three random people keep knocking on the door, breaking in, moving things around, throwing their cellphones into the fire, basically just terrorizing them all night for no real reason and eventually end up killing them both. And the three people are wearing CREEPY masks.
Here's a picture to feast your eyes upon:
Scared? Me too.

We were all terrified. Eric and Kimmi couldn't sleep, I was convinced my life had run it's course and I would die that night, and it didn't really phase Jean Paul, which was minorly comforting... but not really.

So here's the best part:
The night after we watched it, Jean Paul comes up with the genius idea to drive out to Eric and Kimmi's with masks on and knock on their door late at night. (He's a great friend)

He somehow got me on board and before I know it we've made masks out of white T-shirts with holes cut out of them (refer to above picture), driven over to their apartment, and are knocking on their door. Over and over and over again.

At first, there was no answer. Then we heard Eric ask "who's there?"
And we just knocked again and again and didn't answer him hahahaha

They would NOT open the door and Jean Paul had to eventually say something. So the door finally opens, and we see Eric holding a golf club and with Kimmi behind him holding her cell phone, ready to dial 9-1-1.
Hahahahahahaha
Best. Prank. Ever.

They are really good sports to still be friends with us, and I am pretty happy Eric didn't have a gun.

An Exposé:

People often ask me if I've discovered anything about Jean Paul since we've been married that I am surprised about or didn't know before we moved in together. And usually I say 'not really' (I mean, we did date for two years... a person can't hide much for that long haha).

However, lately I've started keeping track when I learn something about Jean that surprises me, and here is what I've compiled so far:

  • He hates eating breakfast before 11 AM.
  • He would eat beef jerky and sugared cereal for every meal if I wasn't there to intervene.
  • He hates making the bed- the whole idea of it. He doesn't even like it when I make the bed because he thinks it's a waste of time.
  • He is really good at folding laundry (this has been awesome)
  • He is against decorating for holidays?? So random.
  • He looooves my hair dryer. Seriously, you've never seen the guy so excited.
  • He refuses to follow recipes when he cooks (that was a fun one to discover...)
  • He doesn't think I am responsible enough to have my own key to our apartment (I figured this one out when it took him 2 months to make me a copy... and then when I lost it he wasn't really surprised... oops)
  • Hanging pictures is not his strong point... (think seven holes in the wall for one little frame..)
  • He spends more time online shopping than I do.
  • He just pushes the peanut butter lid on to close it- he doesn't even screw it closed.

Just a little video

Remember when Jean Paul and I went to San Fransisco last Spring
Well, we brought a flip-video camera with us and documented our trip with little video clips!
I've been working on putting them all together and making a little film and tonight I finally got to finish it!

It's definitely not the highest quality of videos and keep in mind that we were filming each other (hence the shakiness...) but I love it! I think videos are my new favorite way to document things.
