Goodbye Provo...

... Helloooo San Francisco!!

Jean Paul and I just arrived after a 10+ hour drive (which I might have slept for 3+ hours of... what?)

His best friend is getting married here on Saturday and Jean is the best man so I tagged along for the trip! I have not been here since I was like 6 or 7 years old and so I am very excited to go exploring tomorrow. And since I've been home from Europe I have missed walking around big bustling cities soo I am going to go to sleep now so that tomorrow comes faster haha.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
See you Sunday.

BYU Graduation

In case the inordinate amount of traffic in Provo didn't tip you off...

BYU Graduation wrapped up yesterday!

It was so awesome/sad... I think bittersweet is the word I'm looking for?

Anyways, I did not graduate, (still got two more years, woohoo!) but Jean Paul did!

He graduated in Comparative Literature with intent to go to Law School :).

It's going to be weird not having him on campus anymore!

No more late night study sesh's in the library... no one to buy me breakfast after my 8:00 AM class (tragedy)... or intramural basketball games to watch.

But I suppose I'll be okay without him... (I mean, he is the one who showed me where the testing center was when I was a freshman.. but luckily I've figured out my way around since then) and I am so proud of him!

MIA

I apologize for being completely missing in action this past week! I have a good reason though I swear, in case you didn't know -- it's finals week. Cue scary music...
So if you had an urgent need to talk to me, you would be smart to look in the library on the second floor by the maps. That's where I've been every. single. night. (and day).
Depressing isn't it?

But some of us aren't taking studying as seriously as they should be... (I guess that's what happens when you're graduating in two days)

And cell phone service is spotty down there at best (which is good because then I actually study).
Really, I have had so little contact with the outside world its kind of a joke.

BUT there is light at the end of the tunnel! I only have one more final left! and zero motivation to study for it. Awesome...

I will be a better blogger after this week I promise, I have big plans for the upcoming summer! Lots of super excited things that you should be dying to hear about!! (note the sarcasm...)

However, I am sad to be moving out of my apartment, because I won't get to live with this chica until next Fall!!
We have fabulous late night chats and make goals of eating healthy that never last more than about 12 hours. She makes breakfast for me and we decided to merge our closets so both our wardrobes doubled woohoo!
But she is jetting off to New York to nanny for the summer and leaving me here all by myself.
I am putting on a good face of being happy for her while swallowing my jealousy haha.

Good luck if you're taking finals!
And if you're already done, I'm extremely envious.

Bridal Shower

What's a better excuse for a London reunion than a bridal shower??!!

You see, while we were in London two of the girls, Olivia and Jessica, were engaged!
Olivia got married in February, and her reception was so much fun! See blog post about it here.
But Jessica isn't getting married until June, so we had a bridal shower for her!

We all got together, sans the two boys (sorry Ben and Andrew), ate nutella cake, updated each other on ours lives, opened presents, and just chatted for almost three hours!

It was an absolute blast getting everyone together again,
I've missed my London family more than I even thought was possible!

The guest of honor (Jessica is the one in the middle)

Because she was the only one at the party who is actually married,
Olivia was our "resident expert" haha

bahhh love these girls!

Family Bonding

So you know how some families have
fabulous traditions of weekly game nights?
My family is not one of those.

That may be on account of us having possibly the worst sportsmanship in the world... or because having game night would require my family to sit around the same table, at the same time. (A feat which is difficult to make happen, to say the least.)

However on Sunday night after General Conference my mom decided some quality family time was in order and we found ourselves summoned to play Rummi (Rummy? Rumi? Whatever).

We even had bowls of treats! Which made it an official game-night.

It's a great card game if you haven't ever played it, and the night resulted in some very successful family bonding with only a few minor setbacks, such as when my dad was convinced everyone was out to get him.

And who was the winner you may ask? Yours truly somehow pulled it off :)
